Ascendant (AC)

Also known as the Rising Sign. It is the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at your birth, representing your "cosmic mask" and first impression.

Descendant (DC)

The point opposite the Ascendant. It represents how you relate to others, your partnerships, and what you seek in a significant other.

Midheaven (MC)

The highest point in your chart. It represents your public life, career, reputation, and your highest aspirations in the world.

Imum Coeli (IC)

The lowest point in your chart. It represents your roots, home, family heritage, and your most private, internal self.

Aspects

The mathematical angles between planets in your chart. They describe how different parts of your personality communicate with each other.

Retrograde

When a planet appears to be moving backward from our perspective on Earth. It often signifies a time for internal reflection regarding that planet's themes.

Stellium

When three or more planets are clustered in a single zodiac sign or house, creating a powerful concentration of energy in that area of life.

Cusp

The dividing line between two zodiac signs or two astrological houses. Being "on the cusp" means an energy is transitioning between two states.

The Big Three

A term used to describe the most important parts of a birth chart: The Sun Sign, the Moon Sign, and the Ascendant (Rising Sign).

Birth Chart (Natal Chart)

A snapshot of the sky at the exact moment and location of your birth. It serves as a celestial map of your personality and soul's journey.
